Spotted / Mendocino, CA / Mendocino Grove
A fun new way to experience the wondrous and rugged Northern California coast: a glamping trip to Mendocino Grove. The campsite is situated on a forested bluff overlooking the stunning Pacific Ocean and surrounded by vast natural beauty.
The property features 60 safari-style tents (classic and family-size) outfitted with all the modern comforts and amenities: heated beds, down comforters, wool blankets, crisp cotton sheets, warm water bottles and lanterns. Each tent has a deck with leather chairs for relaxing and taking in the beauty of the forest. Every campsite also has a picnic table and pit for cooking and gathering by the fire. And of course there are s’mores—they’ve got kits and firewood for purchase.
Onsite you’ll find deluxe bathrooms and showers stocked with plush towels and bath products. Meadow Commons is the communal area in the center with a large deck, tables, chairs, hammocks, string lights and a group campfire. Here you’ll find the bocce ball court, horse shoes, corn hole and other games. Other activities include weekend yoga and a guided hike along the surrounding Fern Canyon Loop Trail. The campsite is also dog-friendly, and yes, there is Wifi.
As for meals, you can bring your own, as there are gas barbecues and an area for food prep. The complimentary breakfast bar in the meadow serves coffee, tea, hot cocoa and light breakfast each morning. Or hop into the heart of town for a drink or bite—the village is a few minutes drive or 20-minute walk away.
