Spotted SF / FiDi / City Counter
Inside the Financial District’s modern new luncheonette serving new American sandwiches and salads served at the counter or ordered to-go. A fresh spin on good old classics, like a deviled egg sandwich sprinkled with salt and vinegar chips, a tuna melt with a three-cheese fondue, and instead of a reuben with corned beef: a reubenesque with brined beets (it’s delish!) You can check out the rest of the menu here.
City Counter is a feel-good spot to break away from your day to meet up with a friend or colleague for a quick lunch or happy hour. The concept was inspired by the classic Woolworth’s lunch counters of the 1940s and you’ll find this gem within the Standard Oil Building alongside Blue Bottle Coffee and The Treasury.
