Spotted / South Lake Tahoe, CA / The Coachman
A cool new spot to stay on your next South Lake Tahoe getaway. Just a four-hour road trip from San Francisco, the new Coachman Hotel is a renovated 1960s motel that offers simple, yet stylish accommodations plus convenience to the lake, casinos and Heavenly Mountain Resort. It’s a 5-minute walk to each of these locations. Expect the comfort of a communal lodge upon arrival, which includes a coffee/wine/beer bar (think Stumptown, Scribe and some local brews), plenty of board games, fire pit with s’mores and soon-to-be-built upper deck for small meetings, conferences and plenty of live music performances. The lodge is open to all visitors, whether or not you’re an overnight guest. All the sleeping rooms include great amenities, including Apple TV, Frette linens, Malin + Goetz toiletries and a mini bar of cool treats like Compartes chocolate, Nana Joes Granola and Harry’s Razors. Most rooms have either a king or two queen beds. The honeymoon room has the sweetest heart shaped tub and the three-bedroom apartment is great for large groups, accommodating about 11 guests with a great living space and fireplace. And the new outdoor pool and hot tub are now completed. You’ll want to start getting your reservations in now as this will surely be THE spot to fill quickly in the area.
