Upcoming Events: Heath Ceramics + Freda Salvador
Heath Ceramics is bringing fashion to San Francisco! Starting April 18 they’ll be hosting Mexican artist, designer and iconoclast Carla Fernandez inside their Boiler Room at their Mission space. The show entitled Carla Fernández: Design Culture Mexico is a celebration, exhibit and launch of Carla Fernández’s inaugural collection in the US. Partnering with (and not just using the handiwork of) highly skilled artisans who are often the last remaining practitioners of indigenous techniques, she creates cutting-edge and unique designs that have won her accolades and appearances in ELLE, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and other notable publications.
For more info about Carla, her collection, and the amazing lineup of events—including hands-on workshops and a special opening reception to benefit local favorite organization Edible Schoolyard Project and its programs in Mexico City—visit here.
Again show opens April 18th.

And another exciting fashion event: Freda Salvador is having a sample sale! For one day only this Saturday, March 28th at Fort Mason, the highly coveted designer of luxury leather footwear (crafted in Spain but with its home base and design office here in SF) is offering hundreds of its shoes at amazingly discounted prices. As much as I want to keep this a secret so I can beeline for my size, this is one event that is too good to not be shared. So see you there!
