Spotted SF + Club Monaco

Just in time for the holidays, Club Monaco has reopened their doors to their newly renovated women’s store in San Francisco—and it is beyond gorgeous. Following the complete re-do of their Fifth Avenue flagship in NYC, this new shop is lighter, fresher, more open and so elegantly and gracefully designed. It is no longer the place where you once stopped in to quickly try on and pick up a few knit pieces, all the while sharing the racks and the dressing stalls with the fellow menfolk. The experience is exclusively for women now and incorporates departments (like shoes, dresses and weekend wear), chic changing rooms, and many more exciting offerings mixed in with the collections, including collaborations with other designers (jewelry and accessories) and exclusive vintage pieces (like Chanel). A men’s store will be debuted next year.

Additionally the new Club Monaco goes beyond just fashion by incorporating more of the art and culture that is reflective of each city. Inside the SF shop, Victorian details, crown mouldings, gilded furnishings and local artwork adorn each room. Outside the store, their online blog Culture Club is a collection of art, food, fashion, music, and travel that inspires them, which they hope, in turn, will inspire and excite their readers. As a local blogger and photographer who loves sharing my favorite city finds, I was thrilled and so very honored when Club Monaco reached out and asked me to share a few of my coveted SF spots on their site to coincide with the opening of the new store. They’re also featuring plenty more magical pics of the city from one of my favorite local photographers, Cindy Loughridge, as well. Photos of our beloved San Francisco will be added and shared this month and in December and can be found here.

Club Monaco has been an essential part of my wardrobe for as long as I can remember. It has been my go-to for minimal classic pieces mixed in with some modern fun. Right now the current collection includes the warmest knits—sweaters and scarves so perfect for the season and in all the shades of sand and fog, my favorite  colors. (So very SF of me!) And with holiday parties just around the corner, there are a ton of great pieces to be found here as well. For now I’ll leave you with a small collection of photos I took inside the new space and I hope you do get a chance to visit yourself. And if you like to eat, shop and travel like I do, the Culture Club is a great source for ideas and inspiration, too.
