Earlier this week I featured photos of Crown Nine’s cool new digs and today I’d love to show you who moved into their pretty old alley space. This is now home to Anna Campbell’s gorgeous brick and mortar—also known as The FloraCultural Society.

Previously with Martha Stewart and Anthropologie on the east coast, Anna later headed west and at the end of last year opened up The FloraCultural Society in historic Old Oakland. The concept for the shop was to reconnect customers with flowers and botanicals in their everyday—similar to the farm-to-table movement, but with flowers instead. In a nearby urban farm she grows heritage blooms to create the bouquets and the weekly CSF (community supported flower) boxes she offers in her shop. She also uses these flowers as dyes for the woven and botanical goods she produces. And through classes she teaches folks her techniques to make a variety of floral products themselves.

In the shop you can also find a selection of teas, soaps, fragrances and gift items from other fellow artisans, too.
