This week I’ll be posting photos of several spots I discovered during my last trip to NYC. The first is the darling new restaurant Navy in Soho. This spot is mostly known for its excellent seafood and veggie dishes, but my schedule only allowed me to stop for brunch before heading to work that weekend. I didn’t seem to mind as my friend and I pretty much had the place to ourselves while the rest of the city was still sleeping in. It gave me some time to polk around and capture all the maritime inspired details throughout the space. My favorite being the nautical-tiled espresso bar at the very front. The restaurant is rather tiny, so it’s best to come with just one other person or a very small group. I will surely drop in again for lunch or dinner when I’m back in town, but for brunch the fresh avocado toast + the bowl of baked pears over yogurt were mighty pretty and tasty.

If you are a fan of Smith & Mills in Tribeca, this is their sister restaurant.
