Spotted / Fairfax, CA / The Garage
I recently discovered The Garage in Fairfax, a quaint little town just a short drive from San Francisco. This former vacant car repair shop now serves as a retail space for vintage and handmade goods + a community space for events. It’s such a unique gem and I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. Not to mention I’m a sucker for flea markets and antique shops, so this is a great option for good old finds. I ended up finding some nifty props for photo styling, although I would’ve loved that classic red car or one of the two trailers. Those aren’t for sale, but the goodies inside them are.
Shop update 4/4/14: The red Squire is for sale! 🙂

Hey Leslie! What a cool little spot! Great writeup and photography as usual. Also enjoyed the Sightglass on 20th entry, as well, but don’t want to spam. 🙂 Next time you hit Fairfax stop in at 123 Bolinas for a glass of wine and a snack. You’ll love it.
My sister just moved right by there and we’ve been dying to check it out. Looks like it will be worth it!
Do visit! It’s darling. Feature it on your own site, too:)
