Spotted SF / Russian Hill / Saint Frank Coffee
There’s so much to love about Saint Frank, my favorite coffee spot in Russian Hill. First things you’ll notice are the open, skylit space + the gorgeous woodwork and plentiful seating. Second are the few cake stands displaying yummy baked goodness—which happen to be from local gems Marla Bakery and Le Marais. Then you select from a clipboard menu featuring a few seasonal coffees for espresso and pour overs. Next you’ll find yourself happily chatting with the barista while waiting for your drink to be made. And suddenly that’s when you’ll notice there are no bulky machines visible — all the coffee-making magic is built into the counter and is happening below! So genius and so cool. I’ve had nothing less than a pleasant experience and a perfect pour over each time, as this spot is all about interactions between the customers and the baristas + sourcing and serving the good stuff. Furthermore are opportunities to learn about their coffee and their origin through events and brewing classes.

What a lovely space! I just visited this place recently and wanted to stay longer.
Really, really gorgeous photography of the architecture. I walked by there this week but only now do I want to visit!
Ha so funny I wanted to go to this place this week to check it out. I love their interior, because it seams a little bit different than your usual SF Style. 😉 As always, great pics! 🙂
Thanks Ana! Looking forward to our next venture in the city:)
Oh!! I love going to new coffee shops!! This will be my next stop!
