Spotted / California / Pescadero / Harley Farms
Hello weekend! What fun plans do you have in the mix? Perhaps a trip to Pescadero?
I recently took a day trip to this quaint coastal area which is just an hour drive from SF. I checked out a number of wonderful spots along the way, but Harley Farms was the absolute highlight! Harley Farms is home to over 150+ female goats, 1 billy (male), bunches of kids (spring time), and four protective llamas. The farm operates year-round to produce a variety of tasty (and award-winning) cheese, and guests can stop in for their hugely popular farm tours and dinners. I highly recommend you book these way in advance, but you can still see the goats and cheese taste even if you don’t. However, the tour takes you past the gate and out to the field—and this is where it gets FUN. All the goats are super sweet and friendly, and for 30 minutes they follow you and nudge you for head scratches and rubs.
