Spotted / Bay Area / Alameda Point Antiques Faire
One of my absolute favorite things to do in the Bay Area! This flea market is held on the first Sunday of each month from 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM. This time around I went with my fellow Makeshifters on the early side to beat the crowds and get first dibs on the goods. Even if I’m not on the hunt for anything particular, I just love spending hours zigzagging the aisles and perusing all the cool (and sometimes creepy) items on display. I seriously get that warm and fuzzy feeling when I see things from my childhood. And I’m over the moon when I find and score a bargain on those treasures I was hunting for!

Ohhh. I keep meaning to get out there for this, but fortunately (for my wallet) I either forget or we’re busy. 🙂 Great series of photos with vibrant, rich colors. Enjoyed as usual, Leslie!
You should definitely go and play with your camera there. Great photo opportunities. That’s why I went last Sunday. But I did find some small goodies and they were cheap:)
Hehe. I should, you’re right.
Find a use for the bingo cards, yet? 🙂
Maybe using them as wallpaper for my desk nook:)
Beautiful photos of one of my many favorite things to do in the Bay Area! Such a simple pleasure. Blogged about it here if you are interested:

What a great post! Thanks for sharing yours. I wish those turquoise lamps and that round table in your pics were still available. I’d snatch them in a heartbeat!
Sad I missed you while I was there! I love going and helping friends search for great pieces. Found an awesome mid century coffee table yesterday!
Bummed I missed you, Camille! Happy you found a good find. I love that feeling:)
Did you bring home any fun treasures?
I did! An old mason jar with a zinc lid + a stack of old Bingo cards. I have no idea what I’ll do with the latter, but I had to have them:)
I was there yesterday too!! Ended up walking every aisle front to back and it was the first time I came away empty handed. So many cool things, almost impossible to take it all in. I was digging the vintage mason jars, and almost bought myself a refurbished bar cart.
Awesome!! I started from back to front and down each aisle. And of course, a stop at the sausage link place in between. I ended up with one zinc lidded mason jar, a stack of old Bingo cards, and I sooo wanted this white enamel bar cart, but I had no way of getting it back. Wasn’t planning on picking up any big items. So bummed. Turns out one of the gals in my group ended up buying it later.
