Hi – my name is Leslie. Traveling the globe has been (and will continue to be) a big part of my heart, but the place I'll always love first and foremost is this beautiful city I've always called home, San Francisco. Now that I'm no longer rushing to catch my next flight, I've been taking the time to wander around the city more and discovering many great things within each neighborhood. Many of these places I've frequented; others I've had on my list for some time to visit; the rest are random surprises I've stumbled upon along the way. I'm especially loving how welcoming folks are to allow me into their spaces with my camera, and getting the opportunity to know more about them and what they do in return.
These are just some of my favorite places. And I hope to visit and capture many of yours, too.
All images on this site are original and were taken by me, unless otherwise noted. I love sharing photos, ideas and travel tips, and I especially love when others enjoy my finds or pics enough to share or pin onto their own sites. Okay, I am loving your blog more and more! Like Camille, I went to college in Boston too, and I absolutely fell in love with that city. I have such a strong connection to it, and I visit as often as possible– it gets in your blood! The marathon bombing was heart-breaking– I cannot tell you how many times I have criss-crossed that exact spot on Boylston Street over the years. I just love your “chalkboard” message– very touching. I might need to meet you, Leslie. 🙂
Thanks for your sweet note. Would love to meet up! Perhaps we can check out another sweets/pastry shop in the city? And definitely send me your NYC list when you get a chance:)
That would be really cool– I’d like that! I will email you. 🙂
I was so worried and out of focus yesterday. I went to college in Boston and couldn’t stop thinking about how happy marathon day used to be. A lot of my friends still live there, but luckily they were all fine. Tragic day.
Oh my gosh, I’m so happy to hear all your friends are safe!! And fortunately my colleagues and friends are well, too. My very first trip to Boston almost 8-9 years ago happened to be on Marathon and Patriots Day and I had a blast. I was by myself and was staying at the Four Seasons. I decided to walk up Boylston Street to check out the runners and got there just in time to see the first woman runner cross the finish line and win. What a thrill!!! And everyone was so joyous, and you can see the emotions on everyone’s faces as each of the other runners made it through. So much dedication and outpouring of love and support by all.
I’m still so shocked that yesterday’s events happened.
