Spotted SF / TenderNob / Swan Oyster Depot
A San Francisco seafood institution that has been around for now 100 years. This tiny hole-in-the-wall serves as a fresh fish market, as well as a diner with very limited counter seating. Don’t let the long line dissuade you though, as it moves quite fast. Most folks are stopping in to pick up their seafood order or are plopping down for a quick bowl of clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, crab louie, and especially some oysters on the half shell. This spot accepts cash only.

I’m dying to check this place out! Great pics 🙂
Gorgeous photos! I wish I lived in San Fran 😦 Looks amazing!!
Thanks so much! I hope you do visit SF one day. Such a great place and I’ll have lots of recos for you, too!!
Great! P.S. I love the layout of your blog. The mini collages of photos are great…as are the actual photos themselves! You almost sum it all up in pictures. Beautiful.
I really like how you post about places that aren’t constantly on everyone’s lips. I always hear about the same places that I “need to go to,” but it’s very refreshing to learn of all these awesome, different, smaller places. Thank you, Leslie!
Thanks for your note! There’s so many fantastic places in SF that have been around for a long time and those are my favorites. I do like to try the new “hot spots” but I’m not dying to get in there first. I like to give those a little time especially to work out the kinks. Glad you’re enjoying the posts:)
Love this place! Just wanted to let you know that we, at 20’s Inc, have nominated you for an award! More details on our page! http://20inc.com/2013/03/28/liebsterblogaward/
