Spotted SF / Mission / Trick Dog
Another great addition to this part of the Mission. In fact I’ve stopped in for after-work drinks twice in the past week. Love the open loft space, the crafty and Pantone-colored drink menu, and the guys behind the bar are all super cool and chill and just know how to make a great cocktail—especially them pink Baby Turtles. I could sip those all night. I’ven been ordering everything on the drink menu that I never knew they serve food, too. More things to look forward to next time!

We love this place! Not only are the cocktails amazing (Vintage Photo and Paper Hat, please!), the fixtures and furniture all have a story. We were fortunate enough to strike up a conversation with Josh, who is one of the owners. Josh sourced a lot of the fixtures, including the shade cutter light fixtures you show above (his favorite is the blue one on the second floor). The overhead rectangular light fixtures were built from corrugated, wire-reinforced glass from the Philadelphia naval shipyard. All of the marble and the staircase is repurposed from the City’s own Orpheum Theater.
Really enjoying your blog. Keep up the good work!
Hi and thanks for tuning in! Trick Dog is such a fabulous spot and I met Josh as well. I love that you got the insight from him on all those great fixtures he collected. I will need to order the Vintage Photo and Paper Hats next time, too.
And your photography on your blog is really imptessive. I’m now going to follow it!
